Transfer to wheelchair the Beasy way!

The Beasy Transfer Boards provide upright, dignified lateral slides, unlike any other lift or transfer device currently on the market. Beasy technology places the user on a safe, stable seat. As the seat moves easily across the base of the system with the user on it, friction of movement is borne by the system, not the user’s skin. Consequently, shear forces and friction present in some other transfer techniques and which cause or contribute to tissue breakdown are eliminated.

How Can It Help:

  • No lifting means that soreness and injury to the patient’s shoulders and arms are greatly reduced. In addition, the Beasy technology is “tissue-friendly.” The friction caused by movement is absorbed by the system, not the user’s skin.

  • No-lifting” transferring is important to caregivers and patients alike. Statistics show that nursing personnel, are among the leaders in the labor force for lower back injury compensation claims. Numerous studies have linked these injuries directly to patient movement tasks. With a Beasy “no-lift” transfer system, the risk of injuries caused by lifting is greatly reduced.

  • The design of the BeasyTrans, Beasy II and BeasyGlyder makes it possible to apply sliding transfers to a wide range of transfer and therapeutic functions in both the clinical and the home care environments. For example, strategic placement of the Beasy seat under a draw sheet allows a minimum number of caregivers to easily perform such difficult tasks as a bed to gurney supine transfer and boosting of patients up in bed.

  • Ref these user tips
    • Tip 1: Place person being transferred on the Beasy board seat. 
      • Leave the leading edge of the Beasy seat visible. With a larger individual, it may be helpful to place a towel over the seat and gathering in caregiver’s hands to help support excess tissue.
    • Tip 2: DO NOT LIFT the person being transferred. 
      • The BeasyTrans© System is designed to work with all of the person’s weight on the seat. This product is designed exclusively to protect the caregiver’s back from lifting injuries and the patient from brachial plexus type injuries. 
    • Tip 3: PRACTICE!!! 
      • The Beasy board is worth the practice. Once you understand the unique feel and motion of a "NO LIFT" sliding transfer, it take a little time to get familiar with the proper techniques and the feel of a Beasy boards. 
    • Tip 4 :Bring the patient to a sitting position on the edge of the bed. 
      • Encourage the patient to help this this action whenever possible. Place the transfer belt around the lower trunk of the patient. 
    • Tip 5: Remove the arm and foot rests closest to the transfer position. 
      • Swing away the other foot rest. 
    • Tip 6: Position the wheel chair for the most level transfer position possible. 
      • Use a cushion or two, if necessary to help level the transfer. Lock the wheel chair in place. With a transfer involving an incline, be sure to glide seat in one continuous motion to the end of the board. 
    • Tip 7: Lean the patient as far as possible to the opposite side of the transfer board. 
      • Carefully lift the lead leg and cross it over the trailing leg. This motion will make it easier to place the seat under the patient. 
    • Tip 8: Secure the seat to keep it from moving. 
      • When placing the seat under the patient, hold the thumb of the seat or place a hand behind the seat to keep it from moving. 
    • Tip 9: Always make sure that you can see the edge of the Beasy seat prior to transfer
      • Be sure you can see the edge of the seat even with larger patients. Seat should NOT be totally under the patient. This means part of the buttocks will be off the trailing side of the seat. THIS IS AS IT SHOULD BE! Lift this part of the buttocks slightly during the transfer. 
    • Tip 10: Place your arms around the patient and grasp the transfer belt from behind. 
      • Lean the patient slightly toward you, almost like giving them a little "hug." 
      • Glide patient slowly across the Beasy Board. If the chair has been positioned properly, the patient will end with their back against the back of the wheel chair, the way it should be.

1. What is the Return and Exchange Policy?

If you are not entirely happy with the product due to defect or for some other reason, then we are not happy either. As such, we are glad to offer a 7-day (For Local Orders) and 14-day (For International Orders) return policy upon receipt of the products, subject to the following terms and conditions:

a. Product must be in the original purchase condition. All packaging must be unmarked and not defaced in any manner.

b. Request for a refund or exchange for a product that is not defective:

 i. Please be informed that exchange/refund requests must be made within 7 days upon receiving your order.

ii. Kindly note that customers will have to bear the delivery charges for return. Packages must be returned prepaid. We cannot accept Cash-On-Delivery returns. All returned items MUST be in the original and unused condition with original packaging and shipping documents.

iii. The delivery charges will not be refunded.

iv. Customers will have to bear the redelivery charges if any.

 v. Products should reach us within 7 days of our communication of return or exchange. Any claims thereafter will be viewed as invalid.

c. Request for a refund or exchange for a product that is defective:

 i. Kindly note that exchange/refund requests must be made within 7 days upon receiving your order.

ii. Products should reach us within 7 days of our communication of return or exchange. Any claims thereafter will be viewed as invalid.

iii. Products returned because of a defect will be refunded in full, including a refund of any standard delivery charges for sending the item to you and the cost incurred by you in returning the item to us (subject to a maximum refund for the returning delivery charge of S$6).

d. This return policy does not apply to products which have been marked as Non-exchangeable and/or Non-refundable on the Website.

e. Please be informed that complimentary accessories or gifts are not eligible for Exchange or Refund.

f. All products returned will be reviewed by us, and we reserve the right to perform remedies including:

 i. Replacing the product with a new item of the same original order.

ii. Full refund in Credit for future purchase from us.

Please kindly return the product by registered mail or courier. We shall not be held responsible for any item damaged or lost in transit. Replacements/Refund cannot be made if we do not receive the item in good condition.
