My daughter was diagnosed with Autism at 21 months. We bought several different brands of headphones. Some just didn't fit. Most she snapped in half. Seriously, even the headphones made for adults to wear while working. Somehow we found this brand on a website dedicated to selling products for children with sensory issues. Life changing!!! One in my bag. One in my husbands bag. One in her school bag. One attached to her lunch bag. One in each car. One in each bathroom. We have let other people borrow the extras at Autism events and have been told by other parents that they were surprised their kiddo kept them on because they couldn't find a pair that worked for them. The pair attached to her lunch bag got destroyed recently probably because they get the most use (they were a few years old and get shoved in a bin with a huge pile of lunch bags every day).
